How to Use MagicMobile at Disney World

Before you head to Walt Disney World you will want to familiarize yourself with the My Disney Experience app, and with MagicMobile.

Here is everything you need to know about how to set up your MagicMobile account and how to use it.

Is Magic Mobile Replacing Magic Bands?

First things first: MagicMobile is NOT replacing Magic Bands. If you still prefer to wear a Magic Band you can still do that and use them to gain park entry, enter your resort room, charge to your room, etc.

Magic Bands are no longer being sent free to guests. You can either purchase a Magic Band at Disney's website or buy one at Walt Disney World. You'll need to make sure your band is linked to your My Disney Experience account, and then you can use a Magic Band and/or MagicMobile.

Both the app and the bands can be used together. You can use one, the other, or both at any time in the parks.

How to Access MagicMobile

Currently MagicMobile is available on any smart phone.

To access MagicMobile you will first need to make sure you have valid park tickets or an annual pass linked to your account. If you aren't sure how to do that you can learn how here.

Once you have valid tickets linked to your account you'll want put the My Disney Experience app on your phone. You can access the menu by hitting the 3 lines at the bottom right corner of the app. You'll then click on the button "Disney MagicMobile Pass."

From here you'll be prompted to set up your MagicMobile pass.

Click on the "Set Up Your Pass" button to access your account.

You will then see your account, and other accounts that you manage. This is especially important if you have kids or are traveling with someone who doesn't typically manage their own account.

You can then select yourself, and the other members of your group that you are managing.

If you are traveling with another adult who has their own My Disney Experience account, Disney recommends that each adult manage their own MagicMobile pass.

If you want to change the design of your MagicMobile pass you can do that!

There are several fun options, and Disney annual passholders and Vacation Club members have their own exclusive designs that they can chose.

After you have finished customizing the designs on your MagicMobile pass you will click the "Add to Apple Wallet" button.

This will then add your pass to your Apple Mobile Wallet on your phone.

How to Use MagicMobile at the Parks

Once you have your MagicMobile passes linked to your mobile wallet you don't need to open up My Disney Experience or Wallet app. The MagicMobile app will just work!

You can simply tap your phone for entry at the front of the parks. When you see the green light you know that it worked.

What Can Magic Mobile Do?

Currently MagicMobile has two functions:

1. Theme Park Entry: You will tap your phone or watch at the entrance of the park. This can be used instead of a Magic Band or hard ticket.
2. Link Photopass Photos: Photopass Photographers will be able to link your photos to your account using your phone. This would be used instead of your Magic Band or ticket.
