Privacy policy
Last updated: October 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Double Your WDW ("we," "us," "our") collects when you visit doubleyourwdw.com (the "Site"), sign up for our emails, download a printable, or ask for a vacation quote. It also explains how we use that information, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
We no longer sell products on the Site. If you ordered from us before October 2026, the sections on past orders below still apply to that order information.
The Short Version
- We collect your email address when you sign up for our newsletter or a giveaway.
- When you ask for a free vacation quote, we collect your contact details and trip details and pass them to the travel agent who prepares your quote.
- The Site runs analytics, session recording, and third-party advertising that use cookies, so some information about your visit reaches those partners. Where the law requires your consent first, those tools wait until you accept them in our cookie banner.
- We do not sell your personal information for money. Because we run third-party advertising, some data flows may count as "sharing" or "selling" under certain state privacy laws. You can opt out on our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page.
- You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time, and you can ask us to delete your information.
Information We Collect
Information You Give Us
- Email information. When you join our email list or enter a giveaway, we collect your email address and any name you provide.
- Quote requests. When you ask for a free vacation quote, we collect your name, email address, phone number if you give it, and the trip details you enter, such as dates, party size, and the kind of resort you want.
- Past orders. If you bought something from us before October 2026, we hold the name, billing address, shipping address, email address, and phone number from that order. Our payment providers handled your card details. We never saw your full card number.
- Messages. If you contact us by email or through a form on the Site, we keep your message and contact details so we can reply.
Information Collected Automatically
When you browse the Site we automatically collect information about your device and your visit. This includes your IP address, browser type and version, time zone, operating system, referring website or search term, the pages you view, and how you interact with them. We refer to this as Device Information.
We collect Device Information using:
- Cookies. Small data files placed on your device. We use cookies that are necessary to run the Site (for example, remembering your cookie choices), cookies that help us understand how the Site is used, and cookies placed by advertising partners.
- Session recording and heatmaps. Microsoft Clarity records how visitors use our pages, including clicks, taps, scrolling, and mouse movement, and turns that into session replays and heatmaps.
- Log files. Records of activity on the Site, including IP address, browser type, internet service provider, referring and exit pages, and date and time stamps.
- Web beacons, tags, and pixels. Electronic files that record how you browse the Site.
You can control cookies through your browser settings and through our cookie banner where it appears. Blocking all cookies may stop parts of the Site from working properly.
How We Use Your Information
- To send you the newsletter or email series you signed up for.
- To pass your quote request to the travel agent who prepares your quote.
- To answer your questions and provide support for past orders.
- To protect the Site and our forms from spam and abuse.
- To understand how visitors use the Site, including through session replays and heatmaps, so we can fix confusing or broken pages and improve our content.
- To show advertising on the Site and to measure whether our own advertising works.
- To comply with the law and enforce our terms.
Who We Share Your Information With
We do not sell your personal information for money. We do share it with the service providers that make the Site and our business run. As of the date above, these include:
- Shopify hosts the Site. Shopify's privacy policy.
- Drip sends and manages our email newsletter. Drip's script on the Site records which pages email subscribers visit. Drip's privacy policy.
- Our travel agent partner receives your quote request so she can prepare your quote and contact you about it. We are paid when you book through her. Quote requests are collected by Wufoo (SurveyMonkey), and the form uses Google reCAPTCHA to block spam. SurveyMonkey's privacy policy.
- Google Analytics helps us understand how the Site is used. Google's sales channel app also loads a Google Merchant Center tag. Google's privacy policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics.
- Microsoft Clarity provides session recording and heatmaps, as described above. Clarity may set cookies, including Microsoft cookies, to tell visits apart. Microsoft's privacy statement.
- Google AdSense serves the advertising you see on the Site. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this Site or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this Site and/or other sites on the Internet. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. You can turn off personalized ads at Google Ads Settings. Ad requests include your full IP address, which Google and the advertisers bidding through it use to estimate your general location for ad relevance and fraud prevention. If you opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, ad requests are sent with Google's restricted data processing setting.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) receives information about visits to the Site through the Meta pixel, so we can measure and target our own ads on Meta's platforms. Meta's privacy policy.
- Pinterest receives information about visits to the Site through the Pinterest tag, so we can measure and target our own ads on Pinterest. Pinterest's privacy policy.
- Payment and fulfillment providers for past orders, including Shopify Payments, PayPal, and Printful, received the details needed to take payment and deliver orders placed before October 2026.
- Affiliate partners. Some links on the Site are affiliate links. When you click one, the destination site and its affiliate network may set cookies to attribute the visit to us. Those companies handle that data under their own privacy policies.
- Embedded content. Pages may embed video and social content from YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, and Facebook. Those services can collect information about you when their content loads.
We may also disclose personal information to comply with applicable law, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant, or other lawful request, to enforce our Terms of Service, or to protect our rights, our readers, or the public. If our business is sold or transferred, the information we hold may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Cookie Consent
In the regions where the law requires consent before non-essential cookies are used, including the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and other regions our platform identifies, you will see a cookie banner. Until you accept, Google AdSense, Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Drip, the Meta pixel, and the Pinterest tag do not load. If you decline, they stay off. You can change your choice at any time from the cookie banner's preferences link.
Advertising and Your Choices
We use your information to show you advertising, and third-party advertising partners use cookies on the Site to show ads based on your browsing. You can limit this:
- Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information (our opt-out page)
- Google Ads Settings or Google My Ad Center
- YourAdChoices
- Facebook ad preferences
- Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out
- Network Advertising Initiative opt-out
Global Privacy Control. If your browser or an extension sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for that browser, and the ads on the Site are served without personalization for that browser. Because this signal is tied to the browser, you need to send it from each browser and device you use.
Children's Privacy
Our Site is a general audience site written for adults planning family vacations. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. We do not use interest-based advertising to target anyone we know to be under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us at the address below and we will delete it.
Your Rights
Everyone
You can unsubscribe from our marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email, or by emailing us. You can also ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. Contact us using the details below and we will respond as required by law.
U.S. State Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, state law may give you the right to:
- Know what categories of personal information we collect, use, and disclose, and access a copy of it.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Delete personal information we have collected from you.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and of targeted advertising.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at julie@doubleyourwdw.com with the request and the email address we should look up. You can also use our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page, the advertising opt-outs, and the Global Privacy Control signal described above. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with written permission.
Residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland
If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, you have the right to access, correct, update, or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict how we process it, to withdraw consent at any time, to receive a copy of your data in a portable format, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
We process your information because you have consented (for example, to cookies, marketing emails, or a quote request), because it is necessary to deal with a past order, or because it is in our legitimate interest to run and improve the Site and prevent abuse.
If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, the ads you see on the Site are not personalized based on your browsing history.
International Transfers
We are based in the United States, and our service providers are located in the United States and other countries. If you access the Site from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States.
How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep past order information for as long as our tax, accounting, and legal obligations require, which is generally seven years. We keep email marketing information until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. We keep quote requests for as long as we need them to follow up on your trip. We keep analytics, session recording, and advertising data for the retention periods set by those services. You can ask us to delete your information sooner using the contact details below.
How We Protect Your Information
The Site uses encryption in transit, and payment details for past orders were handled by our payment providers rather than stored by us. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our practices or for legal or operational reasons. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page.
