Sweat Prevention for Disney World

If you are anything like me, the heat and humidity of Orlando can have you sweating in places you never knew possible.

This article is a companion to Podcast Episode 161: My Tron Opening (and sweat preventing) Trip. The products mentioned here are all products I tried and tested during this trip.

The Winners

Carpe Sweat Absorbing Breast Lotion

Carpe sweat absorbing lotion

Of the "boob creams" that I tried during this trip, this one was the clear winner. The scent was light, and not overpowering. The lotion was thick and easy to apply.

At the end of a long day (with a high in the 90s), I found that my shirt was dry, and my bra was a little damp, but nothing that made me feel uncomfortable.

I also immediately noticed that the other lotion I used (on the other side) left a residue all over my bra. The side with Carpe clean.

Another selling point, this lotion isn't gendered like some of the others I tried. I like that this product is gender neutral. I mean we all sweat, right. So I don't need to buy a different product for my husband if we wants to use it.

While it's important to remember that no lotion will stop sweating entirely, it was clear that this one helped. A lot. And while I haven't tried them, Carpe also has sweat absorbing lotions for other body parts. So if "boob cream" isn't your thing, there are face, feet, hand, and other creams that might be a good fit for you.

The Cooling Shorties by Thigh Society

The funny thing about these being my top pick, is that I was testing outother products that prevent sweating inother places when it occurred to me that my brand new shorties had kept me cooler than literally anything else I had used that trip. My plan had been to only talk about boob cream, but after a full day of 90 degrees and 30,000+ steps around the parks, it occurred to me that there was in fact one place I was NOT all sweaty. My booty!

These shorts ended up being the lifesaver I didn't know I needed!

You can read my full review of these shorts (and several others that I have tried) here.

The Runners Up

There can only be one winner in the boob cream races. But that doesn't mean the rest were all bad. Here are my thoughts on the other sweat absorbing lotions that I tried.

SuperFresh Body Powder Lotion

Superfresh body lotion

Super Fresh Body Powder Lotion was my first runner-up in the boob cream competition.

This lotion was thick and dried quickly. It also had a light scent to it, which I didn't really notice with the others. I'd describe it as a baby powder and vanilla smell. I usually prefer non-scented, but this was light and not at all overpowering.

After wearing this for a full day (applying to clean dry skin in the morning, and then cleaning my skin and reapplying in the early afternoon) my shirt and bra on the side I was wearing this lotion was slightly damp. It definitely helped. This lotion was neck and neck with the other lotion I wore that day (MegaBabe), but it was slightly better because of how thick it was and that it kept me just slightly drier throughout the day. I may have felt just a bit damp at the end of the day, but I can only imagine how bad it would have been otherwise.

Mega Babe Magic Powder

Megababe sweat absorbing lotion

Megababe has a silly name, but was a decent enough product. This lotion didn't have much of a scent, and I personally prefer that. My biggest complaint was that this lotion was super watery.

Because the bottle I bought was too large for carry on, I had put some in a clear container. When I moved the container back and forth I could see it move back and forth. That meant it took longer to dry before I could get dressed, plus it was simply not comfortable putting what felt more like liquid than lotion on my body. Especially when the goal is to NOT have moisture in that area.

After wearing this for a full day (applying to clean dry skin in the morning, and then cleaning my skin and reapplying in the early afternoon) my shirt and bra on the side I was wearing this lotion was damp. It did seem to help. This lotion was neck and neck with the other lotion I wore that day (Super Fresh). At the end of a long day I was left feeling a bit damp, but not soaked. And in Orlando, I'll take it!

Fresh Breasts

Fresh Breasts lotion

Sadly, this was my last place choice in my extremely scientific experiment.

This lotion was a bit thin and watery when I put it on.

The bottle says it dries as a cooling powder, however I found that it took forever to dry. And even when it did, and I got myself dressed, at the end of the day my bra was covered in a white residue from this lotion. None of the other lotions did anything like this.

After wearing this for a full day (applying to clean, dry skin at 7am, and then cleaning my skin and reapplying in the early afternoon) my shirt and bra on the side I was wearing this lotion was soaked. As far as I can tell it did nothing but stain my bra.

My advice. Skip this one.
