Hollywood Studios Complete Ride List

Hollywood Studios is the fastest changing park at Disney World. With the 2026 openings of Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets and The Magic of Disney Animation, there is so much to do and see at this park.

Here is a comprehensive list of attractions. This complete list of rides includes location, height requirements, Lightning Lane eligibility, and some thoughts on each ride, so that you can plan your trip based on what's best for your family.

How Many Rides Are at Hollywood Studios?

Hollywood Studios has 9 rides: Alien Swirling Saucers, Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, Slinky Dog Dash, Star Tours, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and Toy Story Mania. Everything else on this list is a show, a play area or a walk-through.

What Are the Height Requirements at Hollywood Studios?

Seven of the 9 rides have a height requirement. Rock 'n' Roller Coaster is the tallest at 48 inches. Star Tours, Tower of Terror and Rise of the Resistance are 40 inches. Slinky Dog Dash and Smugglers Run are 38 inches. Alien Swirling Saucers is 32 inches. Toy Story Mania and Runaway Railway have none.

Alien Swirling Saucers

Similar to Tea Cups (Or even more similar to Mater's Junkyard Jamboree if you've been to Disneyland) this will spin and swirl you with the Toy Story Alien's through space. Be careful if you get motion sickness

(CLOSED) Muppet*Vision 3D

This attraction closed on June 7, 2025. The Muppets Courtyard is being rebuilt as part of the Monsters, Inc. land.

This is a super fun 3D show that is also interactive. There are Muppet animatronics during the show, 3D effects, live characters, and more. This is fun for both kids and adults. Plus it's in an indoor theater, so it's also a great way to cool off during the day.

Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets

This is a wild roller coaster with the fastest take off of any roller coaster. It reopened on May 26, 2026 with a new theme: Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem are late for their own Hollywood concert, and your stretch limo is what gets everybody there. The track is unchanged, so it is still the same launch and the same three inversions in the dark, but the queue, the pre-show and the music are all new.

Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After

This is a live stage show starring Disney villains. It lasts about 18 minutes. It opened on May 27, 2025 in the theater that used to hold Lightning McQueen's Racing Academy, which closed for good on October 7, 2024.

Slinky Dog Dash

This is a super fun family friendly coaster. You are riding in Slinky Dog from the Toy Story movies. The dips and turns are fun, but not intense. So if you or your kids liked some of the other smaller coasters (Seven Dwarfs Mine Train) you'll love this one.

From my trips: Slinky Dog was a walk-on, and between walking into the queue and the ride starting, it started pouring. In my ride photo I have five chins and my eyes are closed because I'm trying not to get pelted by rain.

Star Tours: The Adventures Continue

This ride is a motion simulator that changes every time you ride it. One guest is chosen as the rebel spy and their picture is shown on the screen (last time I went on it, it was me!). You'll see different lands and characters depending on your ride, so this is never boring. However, if you get motion sickness you might want to prepare yourself

From my trips: Star Tours is our 'throwaway' Lightning Lane. When I say throwaway, we're going to ride it. My son and I both like Star Tours. I don't really get motion sickness, but Star Tours has done it to me a couple of times where I get off and I'm dizzy. Not every time, though.

Toy Story Mania

This is a silly, fun ride that takes you on a 3D ride while playing carnival type games. It's a ton of fun for everyone.

From my trips: My big mistake: I asked the tour guide what the tricks were, then I was so focused on popping certain balloons and throwing rings at certain things that I bungled the whole thing and did not win. We missed early entry but got in right at park opening. Toy Story Mania had a 70-minute posted wait time and we waited five minutes.

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

This is probably my favorite ride in all of Disney World. You walk through a creepy hotel where you hear the backstory of passengers who were struck by lightening while on an elevator. You board the elevator, which moves through the building before taking you up and then plunging down. Over and over again. The sequence is random, and you go up with as much force as you drop.

From my trips: I love Tower of Terror, but it scares me every single time. It's one of my favorite ride photos because I'm screaming and my friend is looking at me laughing.

(CLOSED) Star Wars Launch Bay

Star Wars Launch Bay closed for good in September 2025. The building is now The Magic of Disney Animation.

This is an area where you can find the Star Wars characters BB8, Chewbaca, and Darth Vader meet and greets. You will also find tons of cool Star Wars memorabilia here.

The Magic of Disney Animation

This opened on September 14, 2026 in the old Star Wars Launch Bay building. Inside you'll find Olaf Draws!, character meets at Off the Page!, the Drawn to Wonderland play area, and the Once Upon a Studio Theater.

Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!

This is a fun and interactive show staring your kids favorite Disney Junior characters.

The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure

This is a live musical show that retells the story of The Little Mermaid.

Walt Disney Presents

This is a really cool space where you can find memorabilia from Walt Disney's life, including his Oscar. You can also find concept art for some of the rides. This space will sometimes be used for character meets.

• Recommended for true Disney fanatics, or a great way to get out of the heat

Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular!

This is an action packed live action stunt show featuring Indiana Jones. It is in an outdoor theater. While the theater is covered, bad weather can disrupt this show.

From my trips: They're not pretending to actually be Indiana Jones. They're stunt professionals, stand-ins for Harrison Ford and Karen Allen, and they show you how they set up each stunt and then do it. There's some audience participation: they bring in audience members to be extras, and there are explosions. There's a plot twist, but I don't want to ruin it. It's a very cute show.

• Recommended for action seekers! Might be loud or scary for little ones

For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration

A fun and funny show that lasts about 30 minutes. You'll learn the story of Frozen from live actors playing Arendale historians. The songs are clips from the movie that you'll sing along with. Anna and Kristoff make several appearances, as does Elsa at the snow filled finale.

• Recommended for Frozen fanatics and princess lovers

Beauty and the Beast: Live on Stage

This is a live show featuring Belle and the Beast. Note that this is at an outdoor theater, so this will not be a place where you can take a break in the air conditioning on a hot day.

• Recommended for Beauty and the Beast fans and princess lovers

Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run

This ride puts guests in the drivers seat of the famed star ship. Guests who are riding this attraction will be given "flight crew" roles on the ship. You'll be a pilot, a gunner, or an engineer during your flight.

From my trips: I finally got to pilot the Millennium Falcon. It was the only time I've ever felt dizzy on that ride, maybe because as pilot I had to be more focused on the screen than just pushing a button.

Star Wars Rise of the Resistance

This ride puts guests in the middle of a battle between the resistance and the First Order. This ride is unlike anything else you'll find at the parks. It's part dark ride, a minor thrill ride, includes Cast Members fully in character, and several animatronics and effects.

• Located in Galaxy's Edge
• Highly recommended!

From my trips: We ended the night by going back to Rise of the Resistance. About 10 or 15 minutes before park close it was a walk-on, and once we got off the ride the park was closed. An amazing way to end the night. The queue on Rise of the Resistance is easily the best of any theme park. It's just the coolest thing.

Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway

This is the first ride ever to feature Mickey Mouse! On this ride you'll zip through a cartoon universe on a runaway train that Goofy is driving. This is a 3d ride, but you wont need to wear special glasses to enjoy it.

From my trips: We jumped in line for Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway. It's such a fun ride, and we loved ending our night with it. We waited for our Lightning Lane rather than stand in the queue. Characters were my daughter's thing, so we met Olaf, and I knew she loved the Mickey Shorts, which is right next door.

Mickey Shorts Theater

This theater shows the new Mickey Mouse shorts, and is a great stop to rest your feet, cool off, or let your little kids take a break to watch fun cartoons.
