October is a magical time at Disney World. The parks are decked out for Halloween. Festive fall decor is everywhere. While crowds are a little heavier than they used to be at this time of year, they are going to be far lighter than the summer peak crowds.
The weather in October is hot during the day, but it will cool off and be pleasant and cool in the evening. You'll want to be prepared with cool and breathable clothes and plenty of sunscreen. Bring layers for the evening.
You might experience rain during the days in October. Don't let this scare you! The rain is often a welcome way to cool off. Be sure to pack aponchoso you don't pay Disney prices.
Crowds in October are moderate. They wont be heavy like the summer crowds, but there are some very popular fall events at the parks. And with some school districts offering fall breaks, families are taking advantage and heading to the parks.
