There are a lot of amazing transportation options at Disney World.
One of my favorites is the Minnie Van. This transportation option will give you flexibility, convenient pick up and drop off locations, and even car seats for little ones.
But this transportation option isn't for everyone. Find out how it works, the benefits, the costs, and more.
A Minnie Van is a cleverly named van decked out in Minnie Mouse polka dots. These vans are driven by Disney Cast Members, and can be used to take you anywhere on Disney property.
Similar to ride share services Lyft and Uber, you can call a Minnie Van on demand to pick you up wherever you are at Disney.
If you have ever used Lyft or Uber, you'll have no problems calling a Minnie Van.
The Minnie Van service is run through the Lyft app, so calling a Minnie Van will be almost identical to calling a Lyft. Here is how you'll do it:
Minnie Vans can be used to take you anywhere on Disney property. This includes all 4 parks, 2 water parks, Disney Springs, all Disney resorts, and Disney Springs resorts (Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek, Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort, and Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek).
Minnie Van service can also be used to take you to and from Orlando International Airport and your Walt Disney World Resort (or select offsite resorts) which include:
Lastly, Minnie Vans can take you to and from Port Canaveral for a Disney Cruise.
One of the biggest perks of the Minnie Van is that it has incredibly convenient drop off and pick up locations.
At Disney World resorts you'll have the option of being picked up or dropped off at the front of the resort, or if you are a guest staying that resort you can be dropped off or picked up at your resort building. You'll be given the option in the app.
At Magic Kingdom Minnie Vans are the only vehicles other than buses that can drop you off in front of the park. Even regular Lyft or Uber ride share vehicles will drop off at the Ticket and Transportation Center, where you'll then have to take the monorail or ferry to the park entrance.
Pricing for Minnie Vans are similar to that of other ride share services like Uber or Lyft. The price is based on the distance you are traveling, and the time of day. The difference with Minnie Vans is that they have an initial flat rate fee of $15 and a higher per/mile charge. You can expect to spend a minimum of $30 per ride for any ride on Disney property.
If you are looking for a Minnie Van airport transfer you can book this service for $155 for a one-way trip. This service is available from 7 a.m. until midnight, and the maximum number of bags is 6 medium-sized suitcases (due to limited space in the vans).
Minnie Van airport transfers can be reserved up to 6 months in advance by calling 407-WDW-PLAY.
Lastly, guests taking a Disney Cruise can also book a Minnie Van for transfer services to and from Port Canaveral for $249 each way. You can reserve a Disney Cruise Minnie Van by calling Disney Cruise Line Embarkation Services at 1-800-395-9374.
If you or someone in your party is using a wheelchair or EVC, you can still use the Minnie Van service. They have vans available that accommodate your mobility device.
Note that there are a limited number of Accessible Minnie Vans available, so there are often longer waits for these vans. However, you can reserve these vans an hour ahead of time by calling (407) 828-3500.
