January at Disney World

The holiday rush is over. The kids are back in school. And that mostly shows in this historically slow time at Disney World.

January is a lovely time to visit Disney World.

Weather

You can expect to see cooler temperatures in the month of January. Pack layers. You'll most likely see warmer days, but chilly evenings.

If you are planning on hitting the pool it might be a little cool, but the Disney World resort pools will be heated.

Expect for Blizzard Beach Water Park to be closed for the season.

• Average low of 52 degrees
• Approximately 4 days of rain this month
• 73% average humidity

Crowd Levels

Crowd levels are mostly low in the month of January. The exception is the first week of the month. You'll find high crowds on New Years day, and most of the first week in January. Schools are still on break, and people are still taking time off from work.

The following events happen in January, and could cause a spike in crowds:

• New Years Day
• Disney’s marathon
• Martin Luther King day
• Festival of the Arts
