This resort is mostly suites to accommodate families with kids. What sets these rooms above other value resorts is that the suites include a bedroom, a pull out couch, a murphy bed, and two full bathrooms.

The suites also include a kitchenette. You'll have a small refrigerator (larger than the mini fridge you'd find in standard hotel rooms, but only a small freezer compartment.).

Resort Shopping

The Ink & Paint Shop is located in the lobby of the resort. Here you can find souvenirs, snacks, drinks, toiletries, and more.

Resort Recreation

Disney's Art of Animation offers 3 pools. The largest pool being the Big Blue Pool in the Finding Nemo area off of the lobby. This pool has a zero depth area and splash pad, as well as jelly fish sculptures that pour water on you.

In the Cars area you'll find the smaller Cozy Cone pool. This U-shaped pool offers cone shaped cabanas.

The Flippin Fins pool is another smaller pool located in the Little Mermaid area of the resort.

In the lobby area the Pixel Play arcade is available for guests. The arcade offers a variety of games for all age ranges.

Art of Animation also features a running trail that spans 1.38 miles. The trail goes around Hour Glass Lake. You'll have a view of the different themed buildings, the lake, the Disney Skyliner, and Pop Century Resort on this trail.

Ask a Cast Member or look for signs around the resort for additional activities, such as movies under the stars or Cast Member lead pool games.

Transportation at Art of Animation

• Disney Buses: Buses can be taken to any of the parks, Disney Springs, and the water parks from this resort
• Disney Skyliner: The Skyliner has a stop at this resort. You can take the Skyliner to the Caribbean Beach Resort and transfer to Epcot or Hollywood Studios parks.

Who is this is resort best for?

This is a great option if you want a little more space, but don’t want to skimp on an amazing themed hotel. This resort has some of the best theming of all of the resorts.

The Downside?

I have heard wi-fi can be spotty at this resort. The buildings can be spread out, which means you might be looking at longer walks to the bus or lobby area. This is especially true of the Little Mermaid rooms.
