Rider Switch is a system Disney has in place that allows families with small children to enjoy the rides that have height requirements. If you have small children you can take turns riding bigger rides while the other person waits with the child. When the second person takes their turn, they can hop in the fastpass+ line for a shorter wait.
How Does it Work?
When you get to a ride that has a height requirement, your entire group should find the Cast Member at the end of the line. Let that Cast Member know that you would like to use rider switch. Make sure your entire group is with you when you talk to the Cast Member.
The Cast Member will then scan the magic band of the people who will be riding second. Once that is done you will see a fastpass+ added to your My Disney Experience account.
The first rider may then get in line and ride.
The second rider can come back at the time designated on their new fastpass+ in their account.
