
Things are always changing at Disney World. New rides, attractions, resorts, and more are always being announced.
Sometimes I can't even keep up with it (and it's my job to keep up with it!). I have created this master list of all new things coming to the Disney World parks that have been officially released by Disney.
This page is updated as announcements are made, so bookmark it for quick access to all things new at Disney World.
*Note that many of these dates will be pushed out due to the park closures*
Magic Kingdom

Tron Lightcycle: This is a new thrill ride coming to Tomorrowland. Construction can be seen from the People Mover attraction. This will be a thrill ride with an indoor track.
- Opens 2022 (no specific date yet, but it was announced this would not be open for the 50th anniversary on October 1, 2021)
Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration: The celebration of the parks will start on October 1st and last 18 months. At Magic Kingdom the special events will include Cinderella Castle being lit up for the event and Mickey and Minnie meeting in new iridescent costumes.

Epcot

Creations Shop: This will be EPCOT's new flagship shop at the front of the park (replacing MouseGear). The goal of this new shop is more than souvenir purchases, but to allow you to bring the storytelling of Disney and EPCOT home with you.
Club Cool: Club Cool closed its doors in 2019, and many people are excited to see its return in 2021. This shop is hosted by Coca-Cola and features Coke products from around the World for you to sample.

Updated Fountain: There will be an updated version of Walt Disney's original Epcot Fountain located in the new World Celebration.

Dreamers Point: This area will have an interactive garden and wishing tree. There will also be a new statue of Walt Disney at this new location. It will be behind Spaceship Earth.

New Pavilion Festival Center: This new 3-level pavilion will be home base to the festivals held at Epcot. The top level will include a viewing area for the nighttime show.
- This update has been postponed indefinitely
Space 220: This new restaurant coming to Epcot will be located in what will be the World Discovery area. The restaurant is space themed, and will put you on a space station high above Earth.
- This was to open Spring 2020, but with the Coronavirus park closures there is no updated opening date at this time. This page will be updated when we know more.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind: This is a new rollercoaster coming to Epcot. It features Disney's first ever reverse launch. It is a massive indoor coaster that also immerses you in a story. The ride cars are motion controlled, and will be able to turn 360 degrees.

New Play Pavilion: This new play themed pavilion will be located in the old Wonders of Life building, and what will be the World Discovery area. This will be themed around the power of play, and will feature some of your favorite Disney characters.

Journey of Water Moana Attraction: This new walk through attraction will be located by the Seas Pavilion in the new World Nature area. Guests will interact with magical living water, and learn the importance of the natural water cycle.
- This update has been postponed indefinitely
Mary Poppins Attraction: The United Kingdom Pavilion of the World Showcase will be getting a Mary Poppins makeover. We don't know much about what this attraction will be, but we do know that part of the UK Pavilion will be remodeled as Cherry Tree Lane and feature both The Banks' home as well as Admiral Boom from the movies.

Remy's Ratatouille Adventure Ride: This new dark ride coming to Epcot's World Showcase will be located in the France Pavilion. This ride will be a family friendly 3D ride that shrinks you down to Remy's size for an adventure.
La Crêperie de Paris: Near the new Remy's Ratatouille Adventure ride you'll find this new quick service and table service eatery.
HamonioUS Nighttime show: This new nighttime show will be the permanent nighttime spectacular at Epcot following the closure of the limited run of Epcot Forever. This show is said to be the biggest that Disney has ever done. It will feature lasers, lights, pyrotechnics, choreographed fountains, and more.

Hollywood Studios

Roundup Rodeo Barbecue: This table service restaurant will be located in Toy Story Land near the entrance to the land by Slinky Dog Dash

Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration: The celebration of the parks will start on October 1st and last 18 months. At Hollywood Studios the special events will include The Hollywood Tower Hotel being lit up for the event.

Animal Kingdom
Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration: The celebration of the parks will start on October 1st and last 18 months. At Animal Kingdom the special events will include Tree of Life being lit up for the event.

Disney World Resorts

Reflections: A Disney Lakeside Lodge: This resort is located near Wilderness Lodge and the campgrounds at Disney. The resort will be inspired by nature and the artistry of Disney animation. It will also include a Princess and the Frog themed restaurant.
- This project is rumored to be scrapped. No official word from Disney yet. Originally it was scheduled to open in 2022
Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser: This heavily themed and 100% immersive resort will literally put you on a Starcruiser. The resort will almost be like a cruise ship in that your stay dates are set for a certain date and are only 2 nights long. No more. No less. You check in and out with the guests around you, and you are then totally immersed in this Star Wars world.

Disney Springs

Cirque du Soleil: For the first time Walt Disney Imagineers and Disney Studios have joined forces with Cirque du Soleil to come up with a brand new Cirque show. This show will combine Disney storytelling with the amazing Cirque du Soleil artistry and showmanship.
- With the park closure due to Coronavirus the opening of this show has been postponed indefinitely. This page will be updated when we know more.
