How to Get a Disney Gift Card by Declining Housekeeping (Mousekeeping)

If you are looking for a little extra Disney cash for your vacation, there is an easy way to get a Disney gift card while at Disney World.

Disney's housekeeping service, also known as Mousekeeping, now has an option in My Disney Experience to decline cleaning services for your room in exchange for a Disney gift card.

The program is called Magic Your Way. This is how it works:

Who is Eligible to Decline Mousekeeping for a Gift Card?

Guests who are staying in a Value or Moderate resort for more than a 2-night stay are eligible to decline Mousekeeping in exchange for a Disney gift card.

Currently guests staying in DVC rooms or villas and guests staying in Deluxe Disney Resorts are not eligible for gift cards.

How Do You Opt In to Magic Your Way?

There are 3 ways you can opt in to this program:

1. My Disney Experience website
2. My Disney Experience App
3. The front desk of your resort

To opt in through the My Disney Experience website or app, you'll need to log in to your My Disney Experience account and link your resort reservation. You can do this by going to https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/plan/ or logging in to the app and clicking "link reservation" in your plans.

60 days before your reservation you will have the option to check in to your resort online. During the check in process you'll be given the option to opt in to the program.

If you decide not to do online check in, you can opt in to this program by stopping by the front desk of your resort. At check in tell the Cast Member that you would like to opt in to the Service Your Way Program and they can take care of it for you.

How Much is the Gift Card for Opting Out of Housekeeping?

The gift card value that you will receive is based on the length of stay at your Disney resort. You will receive $10 per night, excluding your first night.

For example:

• 2-Night Stay=$10 Disney Gift Card eGift
• 4-Night Stay=$30 Disney Gift Card eGift
• 8-Night Stay=$70 Disney Gift Card eGift
• 10-Night Stay=$90 Disney Gift Card eGift

When Will I Get My Gift Card?

You will receive your Disney gift card via email after you check in to your resort. It will be emailed to the email address of the main person on the account reservation. If you don't see it within a few hours after check in, check your spam folder. If you still don't have it call guest services at your resort.
