How to Beat the Disney Blues When You Can't Be in the Parks

Disney blues

The Disney blues are a real thing.

Whether you just got back from your Disney vacation and are dreaming of your next visit, or you just aren't able to make it to the parks, there are ways to get your Disney fix when you aren't at the parks.

Here are some fun and really easy ways to keep the magic of Disney World alive in your home even when you can't be there.

DIY Disney Activities

If you head to Pinterest you can find everything from DIY Disney parks copycat recipes to DIY Minnie Mouse ears.

Find a fun project and bring the parks to you!

You can make ears for your next Disney World vacation. You can find recipes that are based on some of your favorite Disney World restaurants or snacks. Or you can even find ways to make your very own Disney Parks party.

Disney Movies and Disney+

A great way to forget about your Disney blues is to have a Disney movie marathon. If you have Disney+ streaming you'll be able to stream new movies and Disney classics.

What's great about Disney+ is that you can sign up for the streaming service month to month. So if you want a Disney weekend, you can sign up and cancel at the end of the month.

Pop some popcorn, fire up your favorite movies, and have a night in with your favorite Disney characters.

You can even combine your Disney movie night with some of the DIY activities above to make your own Disney Parks Party!

Disney Podcasts

If you are looking to get a little bit of Disney in your every day life, finding a Disney podcast is a great way to bring the magic home.

Listening to park trips, and other people sharing their trips with Disney trip reports is a fun way to bring the parks to you.

You can listen to Double Your WDW podcast here, or search for it wherever you get your podcasts.

Disney YouTube Channels

There is no shortage of Disney YouTube channels. You can find everything from Disney Parks history, to planning advice to Disney vloggers sharing their experiences and trips to the parks.

Some of my favorite Disney Youtube channels include TPM Vids and Defunctland, who both share fun and interesting footage of the parks. I always feel like I am learning something new about Disney World parks.

Double Your WDW also has a YouTube channelthat includes videos to help you plan your next trip to the parks.

Do a Little Disney Shopping

Can't get your favorite Minnie Ears because you aren't in the parks? Not to worry!

Not only can you find your favorite Disney gear at shopdisney.com, but you can also find all sorts of fun Minnie Ears, park gear, and other fun Disney Parks finds on Amazon.

If you can't shop at World of Disney, bring World of Disney to you.

Plan Your Next Vacation

Sometimes the best way to get over the Disney blues is to start planning your next vacation. Look through Disney resorts, decide when you think you might want to visit again, and get a free quote on your next trip!

Knowing that you can plan your next visit will instantly bring the magic back!
