I'll never forget the time I had spent a long, hot day at the parks, only to head to the parking lot and have no idea where I had parked my rental car. After 45 minutes of wandering around looking for a car that I wasn't terribly familiar with, I thought I was going to lose it.
Luckily I finally found my car. But it was quite the ordeal.
Disney has come up with a solution to help prevent this from happening to you, and it is scheduled to launch summer 2022.
This new car locator feature in My Disney Experience is free to use. It will use location technology to save your parking details for you.
In order for this service to work, make sure to enable Location Services, Bluetooth, and Notifications in your phone before you head to the parks.
This new feature will be available at all Walt Disney world theme parks, Disney Springs, Disney Water Parks, and ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
To use this feature just open your My Disney Experience app. You should see a car locator card on the home screen of the app. If you don't see it, open the menu to find it or search for it that way.
Once you have it open, follow the apps prompts to enter your parking information. Again, allowing locations services, notifications, and bluetooth will help. You'll also want to make sure you have the latest version of My Disney Experience on your phone. So check for updates and permissions before you head to the parks.
When it's time to leave the park, open the car locator again in the app to find your parking information.
