Each park has rides that are eligible for fastpass+ reservations. But how do you know what rides to pick? Or how to pick them? I'm here to help!
First things first. If you have never been to Disney, or you haven't been there since around the 1990's you might not be familiar with fastpass+ (Sometimes referred to as Fast Pass). Fastpass is a perk offered to guests where they can reserve rides ahead of time (60 days out for resort guests, and 30 days out for off-site guests).
On the My Disney Experience app, you log in and pick your ride. Availability for your selected ride is shown, and you pick a one hour window where you can show up and wait in a minimal (or sometimes non-existent) line. You can pick up to 3 fastpass+ selections ahead of time. And when you are in the parks, you can add more (one at a time) after you have used your 3 selections.
Confused? If you need help with the Disney App I can help!
Not all rides are created equal! Some of the rides are going to be way harder to get, and some are just not worth wasting a fastpass+ selection on because the lines are never long. Here is a list of each park’s fastpass+ eligible rides, and the ones that are going to be higher priority, as they are harder to get.
These are the rides with the longest waits and/or the hardest to get fastpass+ reservations. If you are interested in any of these rides, make these rides your first priority for booking:
These are the rides that accept fastpass+, but you won’t have as difficult a time grabbing a FastPass or the lines won’t be long:

*These rides are Tier 1 rides. You can only reserve 1 of these rides ahead of time in any one day.
I have created sample touring plans for Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom. This should help give you an idea of when you might want to reserve your rides.
If you have your heart set on a certain ride, book it. It’s your vacation! Just have a plan, and understand what rides you might be waiting longer to ride.
