With the parks being forced to run at limited capacity due to COVID-19, Disney will be releasing a brand new reservation system called Disney Park Pass to be sure that guests can enjoy the parks without them reaching capacity.
Here is what you'll need to make a reservation:
To make a reservation for the parks you'll first need to head to the My Disney Experience website.
Go to the tab that say "Disney Park Pass System."
From there you'll click on the button that says "Make a Disney Park Pass Reservation."
You'll then be asked to log in to your My Disney Experience account. Be sure to have that set up, and to have your groups tickets all linked to your accounts. You'll also want to make sure that your group is all linked in Friends and Family on the website. You can learn more about My Disney Experience here.
After you log in you will see your account, and your friends and family that are linked. You can select the people in your group that you'll be visiting the parks with.
You are then brought to a calendar. Select your dates. Then you'll select the park you want to visit.
Keep in mind that you can only visit one park per day.
After you select your dates and your park you will grab the available time and agree to the terms and conditions. You can then confirm your reservation.
If you need to reserve multiple days you'll have the option of selecting more reservation days, and the process will be repeated.
The Disney Park Pass system is available to select guests in staggered availability starting on June 22, 2020. Booking dates vary based on your plans.
Park reservations will be available through September 26, 2021, based on your Resort stay and ticket eligibility or ticket eligibility window.
Your reservation must be made for each park that you want to visit for your entire trip. So you'll need to know Disney plans before you start booking reservations (and if you have restaurant reservations you'll still need a park reservation. See more on that here).
Park reservations are limited in number and subject to availability. Availability can change until the reservation is finalized. At this time, guests will be able to select one park per day; visiting more than one park per day will be temporarily unavailable upon the reopening of the theme parks due to attendance limitations.
Guests with existing tickets that include the Park Hopper Option or Park Hopper Plus Option have options available to them for ticket modifications and cancellations, and can visit Disney's website for more information.
Disney will reach out to existing ticket holders and Annual Passholders with more information on when they will be able to check availability to make their park reservations. Disney Park Pass system will open to guests in phases, beginning with those with future Disney Resort and other select hotel stays.
Later this summer, Walt Disney World will resume sales of 2020 tickets and Disney Resort hotel arrivals, based on availability of park reservations, while we continue to provide guests with existing tickets and Annual Passholders the opportunity to make park reservations for 2020 dates.
If you are looking to book a trip for 2021, guests will be able to purchase Disney resort packages starting on June 28, 2020. And guests will be able to view park reservation availability prior to booking.
Note that complimentary magic bands will not be offered in 2021.
