Special Events and Parties at Disney World: Visiting During Coronavirus

During the Coronavirus pandemic, Disney has decided to reopen their parks with new rules and restrictions to keep guests safe. Here is everything you need to know about which seasonal events and parties will be happening at Disney World, and which ones will not.

Epcot Festivals

For 2020 Epcot will be doing a modified festival starting July 15 through the fall. The festival will be called "A Taste of Epcot International Food and Wine Festival."

This festival will feature over 20 signature global marketplaces that are spaced out around the park.

This festival will not include the Eat to the Beat concert series that typically takes place during the Food and Wine festival. Instead you'll find several different live music acts at the American Gardens Theater, and local Epcot entertainment (the JAMMitors, Mariachi Cobre, and more).

This festival is included with your Epcot park admission. Be sure to make a reservation for this park if you want to visit this festival

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party

Due to the nature of this seasonal after hours event, which includes parades, character meets, special nighttime fireworks shows, and more, Disney has decided to cancel Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party for 2020.

If you have already purchased tickets for this event you will be refunded.

H20 Glow Nights 

This is a special nighttime event that typically takes place at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon water park. Unfortunately Disney has decided to cancel this event for the rest of 2020.

If you have already purchased tickets for this event you will be refunded.

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 

Disney has not yet made a decision about this extra ticketed after hours event. They will continue to monitor the situation and make an announcement as the dates get closer.

Epcot International Festival of the Holidays

Disney has not yet made a decision about this holiday festival at Epcot. They will continue to monitor the situation and make an announcement as the dates get closer.

Recreational Activities

Some of the recreational activities at Disney World will be unable to continue during this time. The activities that are cancelled are:

• ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex will remain closed during the initial reopening period
• Miniature golf will be unavailable during the initial reopening period
• Surfing activities—including group lessons and private sessions—will be unavailable during the initial reopening period
• Spas, salons and Harmony Barbershop will remain closed during the initial reopening period

Golf and FootGolf will be available on a regular schedule at Walt Disney World golf courses.

All guided tours at Disney World are currently unavailable. This includes:
